Volunteering - Bayanihan Community Center
I volunteered at this community center located in San Francisco in October 2015. Speaking with the elderly and seeing everyone interact with one another was an eye-opening experience. It was clear how important each individual was to each other; they were supportive and brought happiness.

Volunteering here was one of the main reasons that made me realize that I wanted to go into a field that involved communication. Being able to communicate is a powerful thing that can easily impact one's life.

Goals

College - UCI
This Fall 2016 I will be attending University of California Irvine. Because I am going in as undeclared for my major, I am hoping to find a major that I am both interested in and can excel in. I plan on having a minor in foreign language; I really enjoy learning about other cultures because I find the difference in other cultures compared to mines to be really interesting.

College - Study Abroad
Though I'm sure I'll be swamped with my studies, studying abroad seems like a once in a lifetime experience that will allow me to continue my studies while still giving me the chance to have a good time exploring another part of the world. Because I am considering doing a foreign language as a minor, studying abroad seems like a wise decision because it will test my knowledge in a language other than English and it will push me to use that language as much as possible. I believe that after studying abroad, I'll be much better in that specific foreign language than prior to going on the trip.

College - Class of 2020 Graduate
I plan on graduating from college in 2020.
