List Navigation
After coming back to Ms. Shah’s class after two years, relearning the basics of CSS & HTML was just as intriguing as I remembered it to be. Using the old skills I acquired two years ago and the new tips and tricks taught to us this year, the class was tasked with combining all of our current skills to design a webpage.

I created a website dedicated to one of my favorite movies, Spirited Away. I learned how to create a list that serves as a navigation header at the top of my page, how to create containers known as 'divs,' and how to link text and photos to an external site.

Though this project required students to follow a strict guideline of instructions, we were allowed to choose a movie to our liking that we wanted to base our project on. One reason why I really enjoyed this project was because of the creative freedom it allowed each student to have; I personally like having the power to choose the colors, photos, and other details for projects and so being able to do so allowed me to have fun with coding and design.

Logo Design

Being a rather indecisive person, trying to think of words that describe me in order to draw my logo design was not easy; I was forced to think about who I am as an individual and what my interests were which is generally something I almost never do. However the frustrating, indecisive feeling that I had at that moment is exactly what led me to my final logo design. I only had to draw my logo design once because after inspecting the other drawings I had done afterwards, I felt that this one described me the best.
Working on Adobe Illustrator allowed me to refine the rough lines I had drawn and reassure me that this would be the logo I’d use to represent myself. Though my logo may look like some sort of mushroom or umbrella, it is actually my brain. The lines of the helmet-like structure are the many thoughts and ideas running through my mind while the two tubes stemming out of the “helmet” signifies my indecisiveness.
Scratch Project
Though this project should’ve been much easier to do, it was one of the projects that I clearly remember struggling with during my time in the IT (Information Technology) Academy. It being my first time to do coding and having to create a game in Scratch was something that I found to be really stressful because I wanted it to look pleasing to the eye, innovative, and fun.
Although the project didn’t fully meet my expectations, I was still proud that I was able to create a game using a program that I had never worked with before.
I was able to learn about how different scripts in Scratch such as motion, control, sensing, etc. work and how they can each affect the characters and overall game.

This project was a group project that was assigned in my first year of being in the IT (Information Technology) Academy. Though I haven’t tried doing this trick since the first time I did it, I do remember having a hard time grasping the concept and doing it myself. However once I figured out how to do it with the help of Ms. Shah, my teacher, I was able to help others as well. It was one of the earliest experiences in ITA that drew my interest and made me want to learn more about the tips and tricks in Photoshop, and in different programs as well.
